“Elvis” Helps Raise Money for MS

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Tupelo’s Veterans Park isn’t far from the Elvis Presley Birthplace.

And Saturday morning Elvis or at least a really good look-a-like came to Veterans Park to help raise money to help battle Multiple Sclerosis. MS sufferers and their caretakers were on hand to celebrate the strides that have been made so far in battling the crippling disease, as well as the hope for what is to come.

Their goal was to raise 25-thousand dollars for research and for medication, with 53-percent of the funds staying in the north Mississippi area to help with programs they offer to patients here.
