Video: EMCC Set to Host East Mississippi Job Fair

MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI)-If you are looking for a job or want to change careers, there’s one event that could put you on the right track.

Organizers are busy setting up booths for the East Mississippi Job Fair. The event is scheduled for  Thursday at 9:30 A.M., at the Lyceum auditorium on EMCC’s Golden Triangle Campus.

Over a dozen businesses like Airbus, Paccar, and Yokahoma will be there.

Be prepared to hand out copies of your resume! Job seekers will also get the chance to participate in On-site job interviews. Some companies will be hiring on the spot. 

One EMCC administrator says first impressions are everything, and future employees should come dressed for success.

“Depending on the jobs you are seeking after, you want to look presentable,” said the Director of Administrative Computing, Aaron Brooks. “Respect yourself so they can respect you. Hopefully they will honor your skill-set, but you got to present yourself in the proper fashion.”

Adult education and resume writing agencies will be on hand. All are welcome to attend.
