Eupora, MS — 31 May 2013 – Ansell Hawkeye, Inc., a U.S. based subsidiary of Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, announces the cancellation of the anticipated pending layoffs at its Eupora, MS facility.

Ansell Hawkeye, Inc. previously communicated to appropriate government authorities (pursuant to the Federal Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN)) its plans to move forward with reducing production staffing levels beginning on May 9, dependent upon the facility’s product demand based upon U.S. military purchases. Those plans have temporarily changed and thus, Ansell has rescinded its notices accordingly.

“We know this period has been difficult for our employees, and we truly appreciate the support and tireless efforts of everyone involved,” says Mark E. Lolley, Associate Director of Operations at Ansell Hawkeye Inc. “We still have some challenges ahead as a result of contract reductions in the U.S., but Ansell has a strong track record of production in the town of Eupora. We are working to secure additional contracts and our presence in the region.”
