LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Two Birmingham men wanted to buy some farm equipment with a bogus credit card and are caught in the act.

Eric Malone, 31, and Roderick Jemison, 32, are both charged with identity theft.

Lowndes County detectives say the men ordered equipment online from H&R Agri-Power, known as Martin Truck and Tractor.

When the duo came to pick-up their purchase, deputies were waiting.

Investigators believe Malone and Jemison were planning to resale the equipment to make money.

The actual credit card were not stolen. Deputies say someone’s identity was used to open the account.
