Fatal Crash in Union County

UNION COUNTY, Miss. ( WCBI) – Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck that claimed the life of an Oxford teen.

The accident happened Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. Driver Cody Grose, 18, of Oxford was traveling west bound on MS 30 when he ran off the right side of the road. Grose’s 2007 GMC 1500 overturned several times and collided into a driveway.  Passenger Joseph Stribling, 17, of Oxford was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Union County where he later died from his injuries.

The other two passengers and Grose were treated for minor injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing a seat-belt.
