Federal Charges In Wake Of Ole Miss Flag Protest

OXFORD, MS (WCBI) -The FBI has federal charges against two men who took part in a protest last week on the Ole Miss Campus.
Kyler Campbell and Virgil Dennison were both taken into custody  October 22nd by Ole Miss Police.  Officers initially walked   the two to their truck in order to keep peace on the campus but then spotted two shotguns on the floorboard of the truck

Campbell from Desoto County  told officers he always keeps a gun in his truck. Dennison from Coldwater admitted owning the other shotgun but claimed he had no idea they would end up at Ole  Miss.  Officers also recovered three signs which said “Keep The Flag , Black Lives Don’t Matter and If Diversity Wins  We All Lose.  Both face federal charges of possession of a firearm within 1000  feet of a school.  Campbell waived his hearing today and is held without bond.  Dennison is under house  arrest with an electronic monitor and will undergo an psychiatric exam.
