Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) — The Saint James United Methodist Church in Columbus hosted their third annual Fellowship Meal.

Organizers say around 150 people came to enjoy good food and company.

Some also delivered meals to the sick and elderly who weren’t able to make it.

“We are thankful and when we are thankful, we can pass it on to others…”, said participant Janice Montgomery, “…it’s a community wide effort to bring the community together.”

The event also welcomed Columbus Police officers and gave people the chance to connect with their law enforcement.

“It’s time to do some positive for the community. Everybody just come together as one”, said School Resource Officer L.C. Cockrell, who works at Columbus High School.

Saint James’ United Methodist Church will also host an angel tree project coming up during Christmas time.
