EUPORA, Miss. – (WCBI) Eupora High School students returned to school, after a weekend fire left many of their classrooms damaged.

Superintendent Jack Treloar says while students are back on schedule, they are having to adjust.

The blaze, which was likely electrical in nature, started Saturday morning.

25 classrooms were nearly destroyed. By Monday, volunteers and donations from surrounding school districts had the school back in working order.

Treloar says the students and faculty have been very supportive.

“Today has been a good day far as probably a lot better than we anticipated. We have a fantastic student body. They do a great job. Our teachers have stepped up to the plate. They worked really hard to make sure today did transition smoothly,” says Treloar.

Webster County School District leaders met with the insurance company Tuesday.
