Fireworks On The Water An Opportunity For Local Businesses

Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) — The Fireworks on the Water event is a great opportunity for local small businesses to get their name out to the public.

Some of the vendors spoke with WCBI about how they look forward to the event every year.

“We get the chance to meet a lot of people and it’s a lot of opportunity come our way…,” said Gale Davis, co-owner of T&G BBQ, “…we are a small business, I put my business cards out, and people pick me up and we [are] all over the coast, all in Alabama, and also in Mississippi.”

“It just allows us to come out and support the local businesses…”, said Kaylan Colvin, spokeswoman for KK’s Lemonade, “…being from Columbus allows us to be here and just show the shop local part of Fireworks on the Water.”

“The opportunity is real great because it gets our name out there and plus I love to hear the people talk about how good the food is…”, says
co-owner of T&G BBQ Tommy Davis.

Last year’s Fireworks on the Water brought a crowd of around 8,000 people. Most of the vendors there Saturday expected even more people to show up this year.
