Video: Former Coach Settles Age Discrimination Suit

ABERDEEN, MS (WCBI) The dispute between former long time Aberdeen basketball coach Roy Hazzle and the school district is over.
Hazzle has agreed to settle an age discrimination lawsuit against the district for 15 thousand dollars.   The former coach was relieved of his job at the school back in 2014. He says he was dismissed so a younger coach could be hired.  The district says it offered Hazzle two different options to stay on as coach but he declined both so he was dismissed.  The district says the agreement to settle does not mean it admits  Hazzle’s claim that he was fired because of his age is true.
