Former Eupora Mayor Running For Congress

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) – Former Eupora Mayor Henry Ross becomes the 11th person to announce their candidacy for the First Congressional District special election.

Ross, an attorney, released details of his announcement tour on Wednesday.

Ten others say they are also running to succeed Alan Nunnelee, who died last month.

The qualifying deadline is March 27th and the election is May 12th.

A runoff, which is almost guaranteed, will be in June.

The winner will serve the rest of the term, that ends in 2017.
