Former Noxubee School Employee Indicted

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A former Noxubee county school district employee has been indicted on a sexual battery charge.

Multiple sources tell WCBI the investigation involving 29-year-old Freddie Poindexter of Macon involves inappropriate contact with a student.

Poindexter worked as a bus driver and assistant band director at Noxubee County High.

He is out of jail on $20,000 bond.

He no longer works for the school district. The allegations were first reported last October by WCBI.
