Former Prentiss County Employee Sentenced

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – After pleading guilty to burglary, a former Prentiss County Courthouse employee was sentenced to six years for burglary.

Donna L. Way, 51, of Baldwyn, was the deputy tax collector and purchasing clerk.

Way broke into the courthouse in January 2014 and around $36,000 was stolen.

Way decided to take a plea deal and agreed to testify against co-defendants Joseph “Joe” Randolph Moore of Wheeler, Steve M. Gumm of Tremont and Gerald Christopher Guynes of Rienzi.
