STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck that caused a semi tractor trailer to turn on its side Friday morning.

It happened right off the 182 West-Starkville exit.

Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan says the semi was carrying more than 42,000 pounds of steel, which caused the truck to land on its side as the driver was making a sharp turn.

Golden Triangle Haz-mat was on the scene to help clean up the diesel fuel spill.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
