TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Rainy weather moved an annual fundraiser for a historic Tupelo theater indoors.

The 12th annual “Music, Monet and Margaritas” drew hundreds to the Lyric Theatre.

The event featured live music , food from Outback Steakhouse and a silent auction.

“This is a fun night, it’s a good get together, we didn’t let the rain stop us, but this is a fundraiser for the Lyric, Tupelo Arts program and a great way to show support from the community for this awesome theater,” said Dr. Barry Bertolet, with Cardiology Associates, who sponsored the event.

There was even a surprise for guests,  A young man by the name of JD Cox proposed to his girlfriend, Sadie Houin,  and she said yes.
