Fundraiser Puts Bosses In The Dunking Tank For Habitat For Humanity

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Some employees had an opportunity to dunk their bosses.

Tupelo’s “Courtyard by Marriott” hosted an event called “Honey, I Dunked the Boss.” For a fee, participants could try and dunk their bosses, or other willing participants in a dunking booth.

All of the money raised will support the local Habitat for Humanity as it builds homes for deserving families.

“We are having people in the dunking booth and they are our victims for the day, the Marriott decided to team up with us and let us know we are on their national charity list and it’s in their spirit to serve and so we’re happy to be a part of that and we’re happy they came to us and said, how can we help, because every little bit counts,” said Katie Wright, of Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity.

North Mississippi Habitat for Humanity recently completed a one week “Blitz Build”
of a home in central Tupelo.
