Gas Line struck in Columbus

COLUMBUS, (Miss.)-  Traffic was shut down briefly while Atmos Energy crews worked to fix a gas leak.

The incident happened at 23rd Street and 7th Avenue North. Firemen closed down the street and later re-opened it after Atmos arrived.

Columbus Fire and Rescue says some men were remodeling a home when a truck ran over a gas line.

There was no immediate threat to nearby homes and no one was evacuated.
