Gordo, AL Woman Killed In Mobile Home Fire

GORDO, Ala. (WCBI) – Investigators are still trying to determine what started a deadly Gordo, Alabama mobile home fire.

Pickens County Coroner Chad Harless says 49 year-old Melissa Kaye Sentell Sanford died in the blaze.

Police Chief Todd Hall tells WCBI the 436 10th Street Northeast home was fully engulfed with firefighters arrived about 10:17 PM on Tuesday.

Sanford’s body has taken to Montgomery for an autopsy.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
