Guilty Plea In Oxford HighThreats

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty to threatening to attack Oxford High School.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/14mBppz) Joshua Brandon Pillault will be sentenced after the U.S. Probation Service prepares a report for Chief U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills.

Pillault was indicted on two counts that he planned to injure and kill people, as well as destroy the school, in an attack allegedly planned for the April 2013 anniversary of the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado.

A hearing was planned Thursday for Mills to consider Pillaut’s attorneys’ request to bar an English company’s report about Pillault’s alleged Internet conversation leading up to his arrest.

After both sides agreed to certain information as fact, Pillault agreed to plead guilty to one count.
