Guin, Ala. Hotel Owner Obtains Liquor License from City Council

GUIN, Ala. (WCBI) — The owner of one of Columbus’ newest hotels hopes to have a new hotel open in Guin, Ala. by March, if not sooner.

The Guin City Council has approved a liquor license for Sunny Sethi’s new Holiday Inn on Interstate 22 in the Marion County town.

Sethi tells aldermen the last remaining major work is the installation of two elevators in the four-story, 101-room hotel.

Sethi may also purchase some property near the hotel to protect the integrity of the surrounding area.

Sethi recently opened a Hyatt Place on Highway 45 in Columbus.
