Habitat for Humanity Dedicates 40th Home in Columbus
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) Habitat for Humanity in Columbus dedicated their 40th home this afternoon to the Abrams family.
The brother and sister pair receiving the home were in need of a handicapped accessible living space. Habitat for Humanity requires that its home owners help in the planning and construction of the house. Families in the program also have to provide evidence that they will be able to afford the house after it has been built.
“Our mission is to show God’s love through the work that we do. We are the hands and feet of Christ and we work to show others how much God loves us through the work that we do in the organization,” said director Kathy Arinder.
The Habitat for Humanity organization was founded in 1976.
