HAMILTON, Ala. (WCBI) – The Tombigbee Electric Cooperative will soon have a new place to call home. The long time utility company has agreed to make the pay off on a spec building built by the City of Hamilton in 2008.

The property located in Hamilton’s Industrial Park off River Road is valued at $1million dollars but will only cost the utility a little less than $519,000. The 10 acre, 55,000 square foot facility is visible from the I-22. The purchase will replace its current building in Downtown Guin which was built in 1950.

Utility officials say the new upgraded site will be better suited for its operations, especially storage space requirements.
