Video: Heart Checks At Baptist Memorial

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – For February’s Heart Month the Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle is offering a special heart screening to the public.

For a 50 dollar fee individuals can receive a heart score screening at the hospital. The screening are being held by appointment every Saturday of this month in the hospital’s Outpatient Pavilion.

“For some who may fear they have a high cholesterol problems that kind of thing and they may want to check further and see how their arteries are doing as far as some can show plaque in it or hardy other arteries that kind of thing that would lead to further problems such as heart attack or stroke,” said Hilda Taylor, Admission Representative.

The screening is recommended for those age 35 and older and who do not have a known history of heart disease. 25 dollars of the total will be applied to the physicians cost to read the test and the remainder of the proceeds will go to the Lowndes County United Way.
