Video: Heavy rains Cause Flooding in Streets

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- An afternoon of thunderstorms leads to flooding in some areas and more damaged property.

A number of Columbus streets are washed out.  That may have been the reason a car ended up in a flooded ditch on Lincoln Road, late Wednesday evening.

A number of other low lying areas in Columbus also saw flooding.

As much as three inches of rain fell in two hours from downtown Columbus to Vernon, Alabama.

Some parts of Highway 18 were also flooded.
