Holiday Open House

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- Well, it’s that time of year, the start of the holiday season.

Both Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, and for shoppers that means sales, sales, and even more sales sales.

On Sunday, downtown Tupelo hosted ‘Holiday Open House’  and shoppers stopped by to take advantage of the sales.

And there was even a live band playing to entertain everyone who passed by.

Local stores had discounted prices on shopping items, and even prepared free snacks and drinks to customers as they came through the door.

Stores owners we talked with say they look forward to this day.

“It’s festive,it’s fun, it’s a community involvement, because all of the stores are open downtown today, and it has a sense of community,” Barbara Fleishhacker, owner of The Main Attraction said.

“It’s a great time to go out and save on some deals, or grab some deals, and buy some stuff for the people you love and appreciate, and you save a lot of money,” holiday shopper, Trendy Dewitt Rogan said.

Store owners say Holiday Open House is one of their biggest revenue generators throughout the year.
