Video: Homegrown Storytelling
COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) From tall tales to local legends. You could hear them all in Columbus Thursday night. The second annual Possum Town Tales Storytelling Festival is in full swing.
Thursday’s event was dedicated to creative audience members who have written their own short stories and were willing to share.
The open mic night was all a part of the “Homegrown Storytelling” portion of the festival.
The Columbus Art Council is putting on the four day event, that is also featuring three internationally known story tellers.
All events take place in the Omnova Theater at the Rosenzweig Arts Center, 501 Main Street in downtown Columbus. Each event is $10, but attend a workshop and get a story performance ticket at half price. There is limited seating so advance tickets are recommended. For tickets, schedules and locations, visit the Columbus Arts Council website at
