House OKs Bill That Would Ban Sale of Caffeine Pills, Powders to Minors

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) — Noah’s bill is headed to the Mississippi senate.

The state House of Representatives approved a bill which would ban the sale of caffeine pills and powders to anyone younger than 18.

The law is dubbed “Noah’s Law,” in memory of Water Valley teen Noah Smith.

Smith, a high school football player, died from a heart arrhythmia after taking the over-the-counter medication.

The senate must still approve the bill.
