Houston Family Can Get Closure

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — A Houston family can now get closure and officially put a loved one to rest.

Chickasaw County Coroner Andy Harmon says an autopsy has definitely identified a body found three weeks ago as that of 72-year-old Willie Harries. The autopsy also found no signs of foul play.

His funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday at Center Hill Baptist Church in Houston. That’s the church next door to his home.

Harries was last seen August 23 walking near his residence and emergency workers, friends and volunteers spent days searching for him.

His remains finally were recovered three weeks ago but formal identification awaited results of the autopsy.
