COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The first annual Veterans’ Hunt took place on Saturday in several places across the Golden Triangle Area.

Golden Triangle Outdoors of Columbus and Passionate Pursuits of Ministries of West Point gathered together to help give back to disabled veterans and wounded warriors.

Saturday morning several veterans hunted in numerous areas to try and get that first deer of the hunting season.

Golden Triangle Outdoors and Passionate Pursuits are both faith based, non profit organization that helps provide outdoor recreational opportunities to people with special needs.

Golden Triangle Outdoors Host Chris Taylor says it’s all about honoring and giving back to the veterans.

“We’re just trying to get them back out in the outdoors and enjoy what God has given us to enjoy and we want them to know that we’re here for them and they can come out and enjoy with us as they come from overseas and different parts of the world,” said Golden Triangle Outdoors Host Chris Taylor.
The Golden Triangle Outdoors organization has been around for nineteen years and actively hunting for fifteen years.
