Hurricane Creek Takes the Life of a Swimmer

ALCORN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man’s body was removed from Hurricane Creek Wednesday afternoon after witnesses saw several men swimming around 2:30 p.m.

Onlookers also say one of the men became tangled in brush and went under.

The drowning occurred near the Old Iron Bridge.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was removed from the water around 5:30 p.m.

An investigation is being conducted by law enforcement.
