Interviews Set for Bevill State Prez, Staff

HAMILTON, Ala. (WCBI) — Bevill State Community College in West Alabama may soon have a new president.

Interim President Doctor Thomas Huebner and three other community college veterans from Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida have been named finalists for the permanent job.

Open interviews with the four are scheduled Wednesday. Bevill has facilities in Marion, Fayette, Pickens and Walker counties. For information on the four candidates and the interviews, visit Bevill’s web site at www.bscc.edu. Former Bevill President Anne McNutt retired in April.

Meanwhile, Journal Record in Hamilton reports Susan Burrow, the dean of the Hamilton Campus of Bevill State Community College who is currently acting president of Central Alabama Community College, is one of five finalists for the presidency of Calhoun Community College, which bills itself as the largest two-year college in Alabama with campuses in Decatur and Huntsville.

Interviews for the position are set for Nov. 18, the day before presidential interviews for Bevill State’s presidency.
