Itawamba Board To Move 10 Commandments Display

FULTON, MS (WCBI) – The 10 Commandments display in the Itawamba County Courthouse will be coming down after a national group expressed concern about its presence.  Wisconsin based Freedom From Religion Foundation sent the board a letter last week telling them the display violates the U.S. Constitution.  Supervisors today made the decision to remove the display and replace it with an “In God We Trust” sign.  The board in a statement says it also intends on adding other educational displays to county property.
