Iuka Man Arrested After Home Break-In

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — An Iuka man is behind bars after Oxford police say he broke into a home while the owner was inside.

Oxford police are charging 23-year-old David Pittman with burglary.

The break-in at the South 16th Street home happened Saturday.

Police say Pittman got in through an interior door and started going through the house, but woke up the owner in the process.

The owner held Pittman until officers arrived.

He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

His bond was set at $2,500.
