Jail Time For Former County Official

CORINTH, MS (WCBI) – Freedom for former Alcorn County purchase clerk Paul Rhodes  ends April Fourth.

That’s the day he starts a 28 month prison term for defrauding the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.  Rhodes admitted last year to turning in fake invoices for waste site cleanups that never took place.  The former county worker learned Thursday he will also have to pay $5900 in restitution and serve 3 years of supervised probation after he is released
