Video: Jr. Grand Marshals Named For Columbus Christmas Parade

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – There will be three Junior Grand Marshals in the Columbus Christmas Parade.

The winners were announced Wednesday afternoon at a reception.

More than 800 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade entered the third annual Main Street Columbus Holiday Art Contest.

The contest was open to city, county, private, and home school students.

Winners also received a certificate and cash prize.

Two panels of judges selected the winners.

The children will ride in a train behind this year’s grand marshal, Mother Goose.

“A Fairytale Christmas” is the theme of the December 12th parade.
