Video: K-9 Demonstration at Amory Middle School

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)-Students at Amory Middle School got first hand look on how K-9 units work with their Monroe County Sheriffs Deputies Wednesday (10-24). Two German Shepards and a Belgian Malinois were on scene to show off they’re training. The dogs that the Deputies work with are brought from overseas and trained here. Deputy Andy Lockhart said,

“Bringing dogs into the schools to teach the kids awareness of drugs, the danger, try to teaching to build awareness on their surrounding at at time.”

The demonstration was a part of the Amory Middle Schools Red Ribbon week.  Students were able to learn how the dogs work in action.
