KOSCIUSKO — Kosciusko Schools Superintendent Tony McGee is working on a drug testing policy he hopes to bring before the school board in February.

McGee tells the Star Herald that he hopes the policy can be place in March or April.

McGee says the board will decide how many students would be tested, how often would they test and should they test both junior high and high school students. He says some school districts only test students who participate in extracurricular activities.

McGee says the proposal he is preparing would assign students a number and numbers would be randomly selected. He says should a student test positive, the school, coach and parent would be notified.

He says the board would decide what punishment to administer if a student tests positive.
