Lafayette Roundup Nets Arrests

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — At least 31 people in Oxford and Lafayette County lost their independence over the July Fourth holiday. An undercover drug investigation called Operation Noble Shepherd landed the arrests for everything from possession marijuana to the sale of Xanax. Agents fanned out starting Thursday and worked through the weekend rounding up the suspects. Agencies working the detail included the Lafayette County metro narcotics unit,Th University of Mississippi Police, Lafayette County Sheriff, Oxford Police, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, U.S. Marshalls and the Third District District Attorneys office.
