Lafayette County Hitchhiker Robs Driver at Gunpoint

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – He posed as a hitchhiker, then robbed the driver at gunpoint.

43-year-old Timothy Stanford was arrested by Lafayette County deputies Monday.

Investigator Alan Wilburn says Stanford is from Chicago, but had recently been living in Lafayette County. They arrested him without incident.

Stanford is charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. His bond has not been set.
