Lake Lamar Bruce Youth Fishing Day

SALTILLO, Miss. (WCBI) — After three years of renovations and restocking, Lake Lamar Bruce near Saltillo let the kids fish on Saturday.

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks hosted a youth fishing day at the lake. Participants had to 15 years old and under, accompanied by an adult at 21 years of age, and had to have a valid fishing license.

As you can see the kids were hauling in quite of few of the large mouth bass, crappie, blue gill, sunfish and catfish that were stocked in the lake.

Lake Lamar Bruce will reopen to the general public May 6.
