Layoffs Coming In Monroe County

HAMILTON, MS (WCBI) –  More layoffs at a Hamilton plant.  69 contract workers with the firm Brown and Root will be leaving the Tronox plant at the end of the month.  Tronox spokesman Bud Grebey says the reduction is part of a company wide reduction in using contract workers.  Grebey says the tasks currently performed by the B and R workers will be absorbed by current Tronox staffers.  Tronox is restructuring its operations world wide.
