LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Department arrested two on grand larceny charges Tuesday.

46-year-old Tupelo man Kenneth Gilmore and 42-year-old Plantersville man Philip Chaney were charged in connection with the theft of some $30,000 worth of coaxial cable, along with other items stolen from a communications tower.

The men were arrested after authorities discovered the two sold the materials at a local metal recycling business.

Both were given a $30,000 bond, and will appear before the Grand Jury when it convenes.

Authorities say more arrests are possible.
