Lee County Workers Getting Raise
TUPELO, Miss. (AP) – Lee County employees will have a little extra in their next paycheck.
On Monday, the Lee County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a 2-percent across the board pay increase for county employees at its regular meeting.
The board made room for the pay increase when it approved the 2015-16 budget last month.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1ZTielN) the budget includes an $11-an-hour minimum wage for full-time employees and a 2-percent raise for others, effective Oct. 12.
The pay raise will add $108,146 to the payroll.
The last pay raise for county employees was given three years ago.
