COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Library is kicking off their summer programs.

A variety of summer programs are offered at the Lowndes County library, starting next week, until July.

The programs range from reading, to science and math.

There are programs for every age, from kids to adults.

Organizers say it helps kids retain what they have learned in school.

“They can retain what they’ve learned throughout the school year with the science programs. The reading just helps them keep their reading levels up and the arts and crafts is also something they work on throughout the school year,” said Joy DuPont, with the Lowndes County Library.

The programs are free and still open for anyone to join.
