Video: Local Dealership Celebrates Expansion

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Long-time dealership Premier Ford-Lincoln celebrated the grand opening of its expansion Tuesday Morning, with a ribbon cutting.

Industry analysts say greater financial stability for consumers, and an increasing demand for new vehicles may be contributing to the automobile industry’s increase in sales and auto jobs.

“The automobile industry’s having the best year it’s had in ages,” said Premier Owner Bill Russell. “We got down to around 11 million in total industry a few years ago, and they’re clocking right now at about 17 million in industry nationwide, so it’s pretty strong right now.”

Premier Ford bought the property next door add on to its building.
