Local Non-Profits Host Fan Drive

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Some local non-profit organizations are helping residents in need as temperatures in North Mississippi continue to rise.

United Way of Lowndes County and Helping Hands are teaming up for their 9th annual Summer Fan Drive.

They’re collecting them for people who have inadequate or no air conditioning in their homes.

Last year, they collected 82 fans.

If you’d like to donate to this year’s drive, you can drop them off at Helping Hands at 223 22nd Street North in Columbus between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
