Video: Local STEM Students Host Networking Meeting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science students hosted student from the North Carolina School for Science and Mathematics centered in Durham.

MSMS students put on a special showing of Tales From The Crypt for the visitors Tuesday night.

“…hearing how students do this research project and seeing how people that you don’t really think about because their name is on a tombstone in a cemetery and how they fit into history…”, said NCSSM senior Lauren Gilbert, “…I think that’s really neat because its something that I’ve never really heard of before…”

Organizers said the meeting is meant to create networking opportunities for students in STEM.
