COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) A young girl’s hair is often called her crowning glory. One Columbus girl is using hers to help restore that confidence for a child who’s lost hers.

9-year old Reagan Merchant had her hair cut Friday afternoon at the Fins and Bobbie Pins in Columbus.

Her donation will go to Locks of Love, a non profit program that provides wigs and hair pieces to sick children who’s family can’t afford it.
The 3rd grader at Heritage Academy says she isn’t doing this for strangers.

“My Aunt Robby and cousin Sonny have cancer and they lost all of their hair, so I am going to give them some,” says Merchant.

Locks of Love has been providing service to children across America since 1998.
