Long-Time Tupelo Activist Has Died

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-An activist, Daughter of the American Revolution, and Okolona native has died. Margaret DeMoville died Sunday morning at her residence after a long battle with cancer. DeMoville was a civic activist in Tupelo for more than 30 years. She was extensively involved in promoting and organizing national holidays, major events in American history, and community activities. Funeral services will begin at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church of Tupelo. No public visitation will be held. DeMoville will be buried at a private service at her family plot in Oddfellows Cemetery in Okolona.
