LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-Living well was the theme for the first Thanksgiving Health Fair, hosted by the Calvary Apostolic Life Center in Louisville.

The event was a way for the community to learn about better living by eating healthier food and learning about ways to prevent or control illness such as diabetes. The Pastor of the church says he health of a community has an impact on the church.

“If your members are sick your church is sick and if they are healthy then your church is healthy. Of course you know in Mississippi we lead the nation in all the wrong things when it comes to our health and our church just wants to be a part of outreach in the community,” says Pastor James A. Young.

The Greater Meridian Mobile unit was on site for free health screenings.
